that’s it from NYC. i have one undeveloped roll left but i don’t think there’s much good stuff on it anyways so i will probably skip those or show it with the overleft rolls that i still have from june/vienna. whatever.
so this were more or less my first experiences with color film. the colors in most shots look terrible. they are straight out of the scanner and that doesn’t make much sense imho. i have contact sheets of 2 rolls and they just look so much better. this and simply because i took lots of awful pictures are the reasons i’m not going to show a lot of the 5 color rolls. i’d like to print some of these though so i’m curios about darkroom color printing. never done that.
starting with fuji color pro 160 (the vivid one)

this is the kinda stuff i planned to shoot a lot, due to the unsatisfying color i received scanning these and not having contact sheets i stopped. got some medium format shots taken with a mamyia of that kind of stuff too. not scanned though.
fuji sensia 200 (slide) from now on.

this one’s WB adjusted cause it looked awful and i blame the scanner.
kodak portra 160VC exposed@100

i liked the color of the can and the backround.

flat iron building. kinda holga-ish.

this one’s adjusted too. turned out totally grey. contact sheet looks very good in terms of color.

these kinda suck in color anyways.

adjusted as well. same thing. nice warm tones turned out grey.

will try to print this in BW. i don’t need color in these kind of shots at all.

maybe i should get into cheesy stock photography or make “fine art posters” for ikea or something.
fuji superia 200@800. dev. as 200 by mistake. (was still drunk when i brought it to the lab.) so all of these are underexposed 2 stops and look pretty good. i really like em the way they are. imagine you do this with a digital camera.
oh and this one’s taken with the leica, all prior minolta.

one of the few shots in my life that i ran for. came around the corner and saw this guy and the ballons prob. 25m. from me… i thought like i had to take one since i don’t have color loaded very often. he was walking pretty fast so i had to hurry… than i realized there was shadow everywhere on this side of the street except some small gap he was about to cross soon. so i really ran fast. stopped, focused, waited for him to pass the light and click. it’s not a great photograph or something but i’m still glad i got it.

just because they were father and son so obviously.

again one of these i’d rather have in BW.

cafe sabarsky. colors turned out weird!

this one and the next one are kinda annyoing photographs to me. not that they are awfully composed or something. but… it’s that kind of street photography i don’t really like. it’s not supposed to be a stupid curiosity show. it’s that kind of pictures that, if at all, make you smile for a second or say “ha cool” “huh weird”. but it’s not good photographs and i don’t understand why i keep shooting stuff like that. most of the time simply because i have fun shooting i guess. it’s not that i think these will be great and am dissapointed when i see em. i already know they will suck when i take em. whatever. (same for the stupid “man with bird on the streets of manhattan shot”)
digital. don’t really like on of these either.
check their arms/hands. like if they realised somebody’s takin their picture.
cya. (not too soon though cause i don’t think i will shoot a lot the next weeks. and i also thought about not continuing with the blog at all)
