Some great shots in there! I envy your developing + scanning method (or at least the result they give)… you’re scanning on a Coolscan right?

yep, coolscan V ed with nikon software and a simple greyscale batch scan (jpeg). sometimes i make minor adjustments in lightroom(curve, contrast, blacks etc). most of the negs are tri-x (@400) / xtol, 9min, 10sec agitation every 30 seconds. i’m very pleased with the results aswell, no more watermarks or scratches and i’m happy
what do you use?

I guess big part of the lower quality of my scans comes from using a Canoscan 8800F, as for developing I’ve been trying out a lot of different films, but the next months I’ll be using APX-100 developed in Rodinal (1+25), 8 minutes, with 3 rotations (7 or 8 seconds more less) every minute.
however, I’ve been trying to do it at home, but last time I got a lot of small white spots on quite some photos, unsure if its because of the water here containing much calcium or if its because of something else… I can’t get the spots of the negatives (tried with not luck).
Here’s an example of the white spots http://img91.imageshack.us/img91/268/img0012ljj.jpg on a crappy photo

die anderen sind natürlich auch fein
du nimmst ja auch den tmax400, wie schlägt der sich gegen den tri-x?

You were right, I very much dig this entry!
Totally like this one: http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn210/oldirtyblog/blogooe-22.jpg
Aaaand the one of your uncle. it makes awesome frames when people aren’t too aware (or don’t care) of the camera. The one with the shadows on the wall I like a lot as well.
Good stuff, dude.

hm looks like dust to me… maybe the dust tried up in the wet emulsion… you would need to wash it again to get rid of it… but to be honest – i have no idea. there’s so much that can go wrong with developing film.
APX100 is a great film, never used it with rodinal but it probably is a nice combo. just stick with what you like.

Hmm, you might be right on the dust… I’ll try drying it somewhere else next time
